Harry and his widowed mother are thrilled to discover they've inherited Wickford Hall--a house from a mysterious relative of his father's following his death. So they travel across the country, only to discover it's all a cruel trick--the house has fallen into the sea. As rumors of lost children and evil paintings start to consume Harry's attention, he begins to wonder if there's something inherently evil in the land, and whether it will swallow him up, too.
